How to use Apres Extend Gel
Apres Extend Gel isn’t just for Gel-X - it also works beautifully as a soft builder gel to reinforce natural nails or create gentle overlays. Follow these steps for smooth, durable results:
1. Prep the Natural Nails
Start by gently pushing back the cuticles. Remove surface shine using a buffer and cleanse the nails with alcohol or a nail prep solution.
2. Apply pH Nail Bonder and Primer
Use Apres pH Bonder followed by Apres Acid-Free Gel Primer to maximize adhesion and prevent lifting.
3. Apply a Layer of apres Extend Gel
Brush on a thin, even layer of Extend Gel over the entire nail. Cure under a UV/LED lamp for 30–60 seconds, depending on lamp strength.
4. Build the Structure
Apply a second, slightly thicker layer of Extend Gel to build the nail's structure. Use a brush to shape the apex and ensure even coverage. Cure again for 60 seconds.
5. Refine and Shape Nails
After curing, cleanse the surface with alcohol to remove the tacky layer. File and shape as desired.
6. Finish
Apply Gel top coat. Cure and cleanse if necessary for a smooth, glossy finish.
